The NMRA has received shipment of our latest publication, a reprint of E.E. Russell Tratman's "Railway Track and Maintenance."

The NMRA has reprinted a 512-page hardcover book on railroad maintenance, entitled Railway Track and Maintenance.

Originally published in 1897 and designed for railroad engineers, this extraordinary vintage book was rewritten several times as U.S. rail systems were updated. The last edition in 1926 includes detailed information on track design and maintenance, equipment, material, appliances, and methods used by individual railways in different parts of the U.S.

With a foreword written by Tony Steele, a pioneer of model track work detailing, prolific author, civil engineer and former Delaware & Hudson Railroad employee, the book is a must-have for all model railroaders.
